Hip-Hip, Validation!

Who has two thumbs and got her first college acceptance letter yesterday...

This chick.

Best part is my mom almost threw the envelope because she thought it wasn't fancy enough to be anything important. The school is Drew University and even though it was one of my likelies and even though I knew I'd be getting into schools, it's still really exciting. I dunno, I just feel...awesome. It's not one of my favorite schools, and it's probably too small for me, but hot damn it's nice to know I have somewhere to go! It also came freakishly early and with the added bonus of including an annual scholarship of $6000 just for being so unbelievably cool.

About twenty minutes after I opened the envelope it was time to go to Wick's annual talent show, which in the past has just been a crap load of people singing. But this year the seniors rose to the challenge and there were a lot of great and diverse acts. If I ever put my videos up onto youtube I'll leave a link here. A hilarious video introduction, a classical quartet doing a Lady GaGa mash-up, an infamous song/video about the Calc BC class (done to the tune of Party in the U.S.A., natch), a fun Admirals party, and a show-stopping first-time performance by The Woodies.

Not gonna lie, I got home that night, watched some Psych, crawled into bed and had one of those "I'm so blessed" moments. And then immediately felt guilty. S'ALL GOOD.
